I’ve been dreaming up some ways for us to stay connected and keep singing this summer/fall. While students are very welcome to continue their lessons in the same format they’ve been studying all year, I always make a point to offer special focuses for fall & summer lessons. If you’d like to spend the fall/summer doing something and you don’t see it here, please reach out to me and if we can make it happen we will!

Song Writing
Students of all ages and experience levels focus on their own compositions or arrangements.
Summer Song Writing
Students of ALL AGES and EXPERIENCE LEVELS focus on their own compositions OR arrangements. This includes composing melodies for poems, new arrangements for existing songs, and completely new pieces. This class will be molded to fit the interests of the students which will vary from creative kids to adults working on albums and auditions.

History Lessons
Singers of Traditional Celtic Folk Songs learn to communicate stories through song.
Summer History Lessons
Singers of Traditional Celtic Folk Songs learn to communicate stories through song by applying vocal techniques and do a deep dive into the stories themselves through research. We will examine the poetry of the lines as well as the cultural and historical contexts of the songs and the people who have passed them on.

Designed for singers training in classical genres.
Traditional Folk for Classical Singers
Designed for singers training in classical genres. We will sing traditional folk songs and discuss style, resonance, phrasing, and ornamentation. Repertoire, context, and communication can also be part of this course.
